These are the official rules of TMM, and you would do well to make sure you follow them as best you can and get yourself in as least trouble as possible. Understood? Great. Here they are, as laid down by Prongs:[/u]
Blue = New rules [from Prongs]
[li] There will be NO, I repeat, NO, harrassing, cussing or anything like that and NO backchatting or arguing to
[/li][li] If you must settle an argument, settle it over PMs - don't bother the others with it. Or, better still, don't start an argument, which will mean you don't have to settle it. Wow.
[/li][li] When the Admins send Mass PMs, they will put Mass PM in the subject. If this is so, it is essential that you read it. Well, it's essential to read any PM from the Admins.
[/li][li] Talking of Mass PMs, if you miss it, it will be posted in the Important Stuff board as an announcement, so it will be pretty much impossible to miss. Be sure to check back on the Important Stuff board as regularly as you can.
[/li][li] Again on the PM subject, please don't waste the Admin's time by PMing them asking to be staff. It is so annoying, and it lessens your most probably already thin chance of becoming staff anyway. So ha.
[/li][li] If you join this site, you need to stay committed to it. Try to get on at least once a week. If you can't, post in the 'Gone Fishing' board so we know that you won't be on for some time, or if you're leaving for good. Otherwise, TMM may be deleted - do you really want that?
[/li][li] Do not spam or flood the boards or C-Box [when it's installed], or advertise anywhere other than by a link in your siggy or C-Box name. You can also advertise in the Advertisment board, funnily enough.
[/li][li] On the topic of advertisements, we seem to be having lots of guests posting advertisements but not helping in any way to promote our site. This is why I have introduced a new rule: If you advertise first, I will expect to see our banner on your site first. If we ask you, we will put up your banner first. I do check the websites that ask for affiliation, and I do look for our banner; if it's not there, your request will be deleted without notice.[/color]
Images
[/li][li] Make sure that your siggy isn't a 'page-stretcher' - in other words, make sure it fits the page without making everyone have to scroll across to read posts and whatnot. In other words, it should be no wider than 700 pixels.
[/li][li] Respect the people who make banners and avatars - they have lives to get on with too.
[/li][li] Do NOT post any images that are too rude or offensive, e.g. 'I am against black people because they are bastards', which of course they are not . This will result in a week's ban, or more if it is just unnacceptable.
Roleplaying
[/li][li] If you are planning to make more than one character, you will need to make another account to accomodate it - one account per character, and you can only roleplay a character on their specific account. Of course, you should limit your character amount probably to no more than 5, coz otherwise that'll be alot of accounts to keep up with.
[/li][li] Swearing is allowed IC, but there should be none OOC.
[/li][li] If you have no muse for a roleplay when making your biographies, or bios, don't panic. You can just put 'pending' in that section, as long as you come up with something eventually.
[/li][li] When actually roleplaying, there is no limit to the length of the post. I myself have a tendency to write only around three-line posts when out of muse. Still, please please please try to get spelling and punctuation as accurate as possible. Please. For the sake of my sanity. There is nothing worse than to see a post that looks like this:
bob woz liek hi dood
[/li][li] This RPG is set in the Marauder's Era. This means it is set when the Marauders are still in school, and the main characters of the current series are non-existent, except Severus, who is in the same year as the Marauders, and all of the teachers [except Snape, or as we must now call him, Snivellus xD].[/li][/ul][/size][/blockquote]
